As the 2026 Futurist & Strategic Innovation Lead, you'll work directly with C-suite executives to identify emerging trends, develop future-proof strategies, and drive cross-functional execution. You'll leverage cutting-edge research methodologies to anticipate market shifts, ethical implications of emerging technologies, and societal transformations that will impact our global footprint.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026 technology/societal foresight framework using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and Delphi methodologies
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' to prototype solutions for 2026 challenges in AI ethics, quantum computing applications, and sustainable tech
- Author quarterly 'State of 2026' strategic briefings for the board and executive leadership
- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and other future-focused institutions
- Architect the Innovation Pipeline 2026 roadmap with measurable KPIs and funding mechanisms
- Champion ethical innovation principles in all future-facing initiatives
- Present future scenarios to investors and key stakeholders at global innovation forums
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Innovation, or related field
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies: AGI, quantum computing, biotech convergence, climate tech
- Executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- Published thought leadership in foresight journals or major industry publications
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or Oxford Foresight)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-shaping initiatives implemented
